Iconic, Fun-loving Polar Bear and His Penguin Butler Set to Slide Into their Next Arctic Adventure this Spring
SEATTLE – March 4 – Today, WildTangent Studios announced that beloved game characters, “PB” the ultra-chill polar bear and “J,” his distinguished penguin pal, are coming out of hibernation for an all-new icy outing in the upcoming game, Polar Bowler. Currently in final development, this delicious duo will bring a new twist on arcade and puzzle gameplay this spring for both iOS and Android fans.
“PB has become the leading mascot at WildTangent,” stated Matt Shea, Head of WildTangent Studios. “With the upcoming launch of Polar Bowler, we’ll not only expand the WildTangent Studios mobile library, but we’ll give fans a much bigger taste of PB’s signature style.”
PB, the sunglasses-sporting Hawaiian shirt-wearing polar bear, has brought his jovial “Aloha” attitude to millions of fans since his 2004 WildTangent PC game debut. Since then, PB games have more than 20 million downloads, including his 2013 mobile game premiere, Polar Bowler: 1st Frame.
Now PB is back – expanding his unique inner tube adventures in the follow-up mobile game, Polar Bowler. Players will launch PB and his trusty ‘tubes across arctic environments using a slingshot, and steer him towards challenging pin puzzles, toppling them over to collect maximum points. Adding to the addictive gameplay of 1st Frame, PB can utilize one of 10 specialty ‘tubes, each with a unique ability and complimentary costume to match – employing magnets, lasers and more to smash through pins.
Featuring over 70 new maps, players will need to employ on-point strategies and select the right tube for the course, that include obstacles, ramps, twists and turns. PB’s penguin butler, J, is always on hand to tow PB and his ‘tubes back with his trusty snowmobile to the slingshot to continue on the adventure.
